Built 30’x14’ free standing deck 14’ off the ground. Deck was built with 18”x18” footings and 2×12 joists 12” on center due to the height and that it would also be supporting a screen porch and hot tub. For extra support for the hot tub an additional seven 6×6 posts were added and 2×8 cross braces were added where the center of the hot tub will be. All structural supports were signed off by a licensed engineer and the county inspectors.
A shed roof was built over 12’x14’ section of the deck, electrical was run for one ceiling fan, four can lights, three outlets and two flood lights. Single window and door were removed; a proper double 2×10 lvl header was installed and French doors were installed. Pine tongue and groove ceiling was installed on the inside and vinyl siding was installed on the outside.
Screens and screen door will be installed when they arrive.
